Discover the answers to the most commonly asked questions about our mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment below.

What is the cost of renting mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment?

There are a few factors to consider when determining the total mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment rental cost. For example, how long will your event last? The number of mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment you may need is directly related to the length of time the unit will be in use. Weekend event mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment are typically delivered on the last weekday before the event and collected on the first weekday after your event.

How far in advance should I book mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment?

Although we recommend booking your mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment rental as far in advance as you are comfortable with, a good rule of thumb is to make the booking at least one week in advance. Inventory of mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment may be limited during peak times of the year, particularly during the warmer months. The larger the project or event, the more lead time is recommended to ensure we have enough time to properly evaluate your needs, assign rental assets, and deploy resources to your site on time.

Can I rent mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment for a single day?

Yes. Again, it is always best to call at least one week before your event to ensure that you secure your preferred mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment and that proper delivery times are coordinated.

Is it true that having mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment on my construction site saves money and time?

By placing mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment on your job site, you can reduce the distance employees must travel to use a restroom and the time employees must spend looking for an alternative facility because no nearby restroom is available.

Is it necessary for me to have mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment on my job site?

Most city ordinances specifically require mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment on construction sites, and inspectors will require the delivery of such before approving the inspection. Furthermore, we recommend one portable restroom for every ten people on a job site during a typical five-day, 40-hour work week. Mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment are also required at events where food is served.

Do you have mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment with handicap access?

Fancy Flush is the industry leader in handicapped ablution facilities, with quality and convenience that rivals even some permanent installations. The portable toilet trailer is lowered to make it easier to access the collapsible ramp that extends from the back of the unit. A spacious interior

accommodates wheelchair entry, and grab-rails on the walls assist users throughout, making the disabled access an essential facility for some. In addition, these units are ergonomically designed for ease of access and use.

Where will you put my mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment?

We will place your mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment at your event or job site according to your instructions, and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your wishes. However, for safety reasons, we must keep the unit serviceable and will notify you if relocation is required. This ensures that our trucks, employees, and equipment are not jeopardised.

What happens to the waste after it is pumped?

In accordance with industry regulations, the waste from your mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment is disposed of at a local wastewater treatment facility.

In colder weather, how do you keep the water in the tanks from freezing?

We have various environmentally friendly anti-freeze options to keep the water in the tanks from freezing during the winter months. The anti-freeze in the tank is mixed with the deodorising water and works to keep the water unfrozen during the colder months of the year. All the products used are compatible with wastewater treatment facilities.

How do you get rid of odours and germs in a portable toilet?

We pump the holding tank, clean the unit’s inner bowl, and offer meticulous janitorial services inside and out. At each service, our employees clean and sanitise the portable restrooms before washing them with soap and water. We also add a special detergent to the water that serves as a sanitiser and deodoriser, keeping the unit smelling fresh while reducing germ exposure.

How and how often are mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment cleaned?

Mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment are typically serviced twice per week for up to eight people during a normal work week. Weekly service will ensure sanitary conditions inside your restroom for all users and supply replenishment. Consider scheduling service more than twice a week to provide an experience comparable to other public facilities.

Will the mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment be clean enough for my event?

Absolutely. All our mobile toilets, showers, and sanitation equipment rentals are thoroughly cleaned and inspected before delivery to ensure they are in like-new, pristine condition.

How do mobile toilets work?

Mobile toilets are relatively simple devices. Users’ waste is deposited into the holding tank. Chemicals are added to the tank to aid in waste breakdown while also inhibiting odours and keeping the toilet usable. Portable toilet technicians will come out at regular intervals to vacuum out the waste. Depending on the needs of the site, units can also be cleaned or replaced regularly.

Three types of chemicals are used to help break down waste and inhibit odours in mobile toilets, namely blue dye to help conceal waste, fragrant chemicals to help prevent odours, and biocides to kill bacteria and degrade waste.

What happens if my portable toilet falls over?

If a portable toilet falls over, please contact our office as soon as possible to report the incident. Depending on the severity of the incident, we will send a driver to the site to clean the unit or replace it with a replacement portable toilet.
